Women’s Tennis Defeats Carnegie Mellon 6-3 In Consolation Semis Of ITA Indoor Championship Posted on February 27th, 2010 by

The Gustavus women’s tennis team picked up a 6-3 win over Carnegie Mellon in the consolation semifinals of the the ITA Indoor Championship being held in Greencastle, Ind.  The Gusties got wins from Marianne Barau, Megan Gaard, Alex Erickson, and Ali O’Neal in singles, while the doubles pairs of Gaard and Barau and O’Neal and Katie Allen were both victorious.

2. Courtney Chin (CMUW) def. Sierra Krebsbach (GAC) 6-2, 6-4
3. Ali O’Neal (GAC) def. Alexandra Tapak (CMUW) 6-3, 6-0
4. Marianne Barau (GAC) def. Cze-Ja Tam (CMUW) 6-2, 6-3
5. Megan Gaard (GAC) def. Jennifer Chui (CMUW) 2-6, 6-3, 6-4
6. Alex Erickson (GAC) def. Alisa Liebowitz (CMUW) 5-7, 6-1, 6-3

Doubles competition
1. Laura Chen/Ashley Herrick (CMUW) def. Sam Frank/Sierra Krebsbach (GAC) 8-3
2. Megan Gaard/Marianne Barau (GAC) def. Courtney Chin/Kelly Hart (CMUW) 8-6
