The Gustavus women’s golf team is in a three-way tie for fifth place after the first day of the NCAA Division III Championships which are being held at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The Gusties were sparked by the play of Kali Griggs, who fired a five-over par round of 77. Gustavus, which shot a first round team score of 322 trails first place University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, which shot a 312, by 10 shots. Gustavus will begin its second round on Thursday morning at 7:20 am (CDT) with Amherst and Middlebury. The tournament, which is a four-day tournament, will conclude on Saturday.
