Senior Lisa Brown
Gustavus Adolphus senior Lisa Brown (Lake Crystal, Minn./LCWM) was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 6, 2009. Brown provisionally qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the shot put and the javelin throw at the Central College Invitational in Pella, Iowa on Saturday. Brown’s mark of 143 feet, 11 inches in the javelin took top honors at the meet. Her throw of 43 feet, 4-1/2 inches in the shot put earned her second place. Her marks are ranked fourth on the Division III National performance list in both events.
