Women’s Cross Country Team Finishes 14th out of 25 At Tori Neubauer Invitational Posted on October 18th, 2008 by

The Gustavus women’s cross country team finished 14th out of 25 teams at the Tori Neubauer Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse on Saturday afternoon. South Dakota State University won the meet with a team total of 81, while the Gusties finished with a team total of 422. Gustavus was led by Brooke Beskau who finished 30th individually with a time of 22:46. Beskau finished 15th among the Division III runners in the race.

Joining Beskau in the top seven for Gustavus were Kelly Chaudoin, who finished in 95th place, but scored in 79th place (23:46), Vanessa Jones, who finished in 109th place, but scored in 89th (23:54), Megan Lundgren, who finished 146th, but scored 111th (24:20), Danielle Burgmeier, who finished 153rd, but placed 113th (24:23), Kathy Westergren who placed 161st but scored 117th (24:27), and Laura Secor who placed 197th, but scored 132nd (24:50). The Gusties once again ran in a very tight pack as the second through seventh place scorers all finished within one minute and four seconds of one another.
