The Gustavus men’s golf team got off to a slow start at the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships as the team shot a disappointing team score of 320 (+36) and sits in tie for 20th place out of 35 teams. The four-day tournament is being played at Chateau Elan Resort in Braselton, Georgia.

Gustavus individual scores on the first day included Kyle Rohlfs with a 78 (+7), Jordan Hawkinson with an 80 (+9), Eric Harris with an 81 (+10), Ricky Copeland with an 81 (+10), and Mark Stuckey with a 84 (+13).

The University of LaVerne leads the tournament with a first day total of 291 (+7).

Gustavus, which teed off at 7:30 a.m. (EDT) on Monday at the Woodlands Course, will tee off beginning at 9 a.m. (EDT) on Tuesday at the Chateau Course.
