Gustavus junior Lisa Brown (Lake Crystal, Minn.) finished seventh in the javelin at the prestigious Drake Relays with a career best effort 156 feet, 5 inches. Brown, who was the only non-Division I competitor to finish in the top ten, broke her own school record of 154 feet, 6 inches, by nearly two feet. Brown’s mark of 156-5 is the best mark in Division III so far this outdoor season.

Brown is the only member of the Gustavus men’s or women’s track and field team competing at this year’s Drake Relays.
