Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Teams Ranked Nationally By CollegeSwimming.com Posted on December 13th, 2007 by

The CollegeSwimming.com/Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has ranked both Gustavus men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams in its recent Division III Dual Meet Poll released on Wednesday. The Golden Gustie men and women are ranked 11th and 24th, respectively, in the poll.

The Gustavus men’s swim team remains highly ranked after dropping a close dual meet to St. Olaf in November and finishing fifth at the extremely competitive Carthage Invitational. Gustavus took first-place at the Gustavus Triangular ahead of Luther and St. John’s. Gustie male swimmers own six of the top MIAC times. St. Olaf, which is ranked seventh, is the only other conference school listed in the poll.

Gustavus women’s swim team has performed was so far this season with a second-place finish at the Carthage Invitational behind Division II St. Cloud State University. The Gusties also picked up a first-place finish at the Gustavus Triangular. Gustie female swimmers hold six of the top times in the conference as well. No other MIAC school was ranked in the poll.

The CollegeSwimming.com/CSCAA Division III Dual Meet Poll is voted on by members of the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America and released four times throughout the season — November 21, December 12, February 6 and March 6.
