The Golden Gustie men’s cross country team turned in a 14th-place finish with 359 points at the 27 team St. Olaf Invitational Saturday morning. UW-La Crosse won the team competition with 83 points and all five runners finishing in the top 25. Dan Foley (Minneapolis, Minn.) was the top Gustavus finisher in 35th-place in 26:40.

The next three finishers for Gustavus were within one minute of each other. John Leaf (Center City, Minn.) and Chris deLaubenfels (Mount Vernon, Iowa) crossed the finish line at 27:05 and 27:07, respectively. Mark Hartman (White Bear Lake, Minn.) finished in 27:41 for 84th-place. Alex Prieve rounded out the top five finishers in 118th-place and a time of 28:31.

The Gusties will compete at the Roy Griak Invitational in St. Paul September 29.
