Senior Forward Mike Butterworth
Gustavus Adolphus senior forward Mike Butterworth (Katy, Texas/Robert Service) was named to the d3kicks.com National Team of the Week after leading the Gusties to two victories this past weekend. Butterworth had stellar performances in Gustavus’ 3-0 win over Simpson on Friday and the Gusties 4-0 win over Grinnell on Saturday. Butterworth began the weekend recording a goal and an assist Friday over the Storm. Butterworth later scored all four goals, two of which were unassisted, on Saturday versus the Pioneers. Gustavus is 2-0-0 overall and currently ranked 13th in the d3kicks.com Top 25 poll and 23rd in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Top 25 poll.
