Women’s Golf Team Remains In Fourth Place at NCAA Championships, Kosak in Fifth Place Individually Posted on May 10th, 2007 by

The Gustavus women’s golf team remained in fourth place at the NCAA Championships through three rounds. The 72-hole tournament, which is being played at Mission Inn Golf Resort in Howie-in-the-Hills, Florida, will conclude tomorrow.

The Gusties, who posted a team score of 324 on Thursday, now have a 54-hole total of 332-334-324—990. Gustavus was led by senior Breanne Staples. Staples posted a score of six-over par 79. Kali Griggs turned in the second best score for the Gusties with a seven-over 80. Kimbra Kosak, who started the day in second place, struggled a bit on Thursday as she recorded a 10-over 83. Kosak is currently in fifth place individually with a 54-hole total of 76-77-83—236 (+17). Other scores for Gustavus on Thursday included Rachel Roberg with a nine-over 82, and Amanda Johnson with a 20-over 93.
