Baseball Splits MIAC Doubleheader With Hamline 5-3 and 0-8

The Gustavus Adolphus baseball team picked up their first Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win of the season Saturday during a doubleheader split with Hamline in St. Paul. The Gusties, behind a complete game by David Wold and a 3-for-4 performance by Ben Sherer, took the opener 5-3. Hamline took the nightcap 8-0 to leave Gustavus at 10-7 overall, 1-2 in the MIAC. The Gusties will travel to Indianola, Iowa Sunday to face Simpson in a non-conference doubleheader.

Women’s Golf In First Place After First Day of Wartburg Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team is in first place of the 11-team Wartburg Invitational after the first day of the 36-hole tournament. The Gusties, who hold a nine-shot lead over host Wartburg, were led by senior Kelli Groff who fired a tournament leading 74.

Women’s Tennis Falls to DePauw 5-1 in Midwest Invitational final

The fourth-rated Gustavus women's tennis team saw its bid for a third consecutive Midwest Invitational title come to an end Saturday evening with a 5-1 loss to seventh-rated DePauw University. DePauw was the last team other than Gustavus to take the Midwest Invitational title, beating Gustavus in the 2003 final 6-3. Match scores will be posted when they become available.

Women’s Track and Field Fourth at Wartburg Select Meet; Joyce Meets NCAA Provisional Mark

In its first outdoor competition on American soil, the Gustavus women's track and field team captured fourth place at the Wartburg Select Meet Saturday in Waverly, Iowa. Host Wartburg took home the team title by 9.5 points over UW-La Crosse, 180-170.5. Central College finished third with 93.5 points followed by Gustavus with 66.5 points. Kourtney Joyce recorded the best finish for the Gusties with a runner-up finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase in a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 10:59.94.

Softball Team Sweeps Bethel to Extend Win Streak to Seven Games

The Gustavus women's softball team defeated Bethel University 4-0 and 11-1 in Arden Hills, Minn. on Saturday to extend its MIAC win streak to seven games. The Gusties were led by first year shortstop Rachel Click who went 5-for-6 and drove in six runs in the two games.

Men’s Tennis Claims Four Dual Match Wins to Improve to 24-4 on the Season

The Gustavus men's tennis team defeated Carleton (9-0), Morningside (9-0), Saint Cloud State (8-1), and Wisconsin Eau Claire (7-0) in St. Peter, Minn. on Saturday. The Gusties improve to 24-4 overall and 6-0 in the MIAC.

Men’s Track and Field Fifth at Wartburg Select; Miest and Klaers Reach Provisional Marks

The Gustavus men's track and field team accumulated 66.5 points Saturday to post a fifth-place finish at the Wartburg Select Meet in Waverly, Iowa. The host Knights took the team title with 193 points, followed by Monmouth (150), Central (105), UW-Platteville (80.5) and Gustavus. Tanner Miest (110-meter hurdles) and Andy Klaers (discus) posted NCAA provisional qualifying marks with winning efforts.

Women’s Tennis Sweeps Past Carthage 9-0

After drawing a first-round bye as one of the top teams in the region, the Gustavus women's tennis team posted a 9-0 quarterfinal win over Carthage Friday afternoon at the Midwest Invitational in Madison, Wis. Gustavus will face the winner of the Denison/University of Chicago quarterfinal in a semifinal match Saturday morning.

Softball Sweeps Macalester 7-1, 8-0

The Gustavus softball team extended its winning streak to five games with a doubleheader sweep against Macalester (7-1, 8-0) on Thursday afternoon in St. Peter. Audrey Lenoch went 4-for-6 with a homerun and five RBIin the two games to lead the Gusties.

Baseball Swept By St. Thomas in MIAC Opener

The Gustavus baseball team was swept by St. Thomas in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader Wednesday in St. Peter. The Gusties fell 6-0 in game one and then pushed the Tommies to extra innings before falling 3-2 in 11 innings. The Gusties will be on the road for their next four games, facing MIAC rival Hamline in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon before meeting Simpson in a non-conference doubleheader Sunday.
