Gustavus Adolphus College senior midfielder Bobby Kroog (Bloomington, Minn.) has been named to the 2005 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas NCAA Division III All-America Third Team.

Kroog, a second team selection in 2003 and a third team selection in 2004, is one of a trio of three-time honorees on this year’s list. James Greenslit, a senior defender from Wheaton (Mass.) and Nathan Miklos, a senior forward from Rochester, were also honored for third time in their careers. Seven other players received recognition for the second time.

A 2005 co-captain, Kroog tallied 14 goals and eight assist for 31 points while directing traffic in the midfield during this season. Kroog has been an offensive mainstay during his career, compiling 80 points on 36 goals and eight assists to finish fifth in both career goals and points at Gustavus. Kroog, a four-time letterwinner, was also named the 2005 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference MVP and earned All-MIAC and All-West Region honors for the third consecutive year.

Kroog, a business management major, is the son of David and June Kroog of Bloomington and a 2002 graduate of Jefferson High School.
