The Gustavus men’s golf team compiled a team score of 329 (+41) and is in 22nd place after the first round of golf at the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships. The championships opened on Monday, May 9 at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.

The Gustavus baseball team swept non-conference opponent Simpson College 5-2 and 8-5 in St. Peter on Sunday afternoon. The Gusties, who improved to 20-17 overall, will close out their regular season on Monday against Saint John’s at 2:30 pm.

Women’s Tennis Team Wins Central Regional Title Defeating Carthage College 5-2

The Gustavus women’s tennis team advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Team Championship on Sunday afternoon, defeating Carthage College 5-2. This will be the 17th consecutive trip to the quarterfinals for the Gusties. The Gusties, 30-2 overall, will play next at Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 18-20.

The Gustavus women’s track and field team competed at the Meet of the Unsaintly hosted by Hamline University on Friday, May 6 in St. Paul. No team scores were kept. Junior Kourtney Joyce (Wadena, Minn.) won the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:26.79.
