Baseball Team Heads to Clearwater, Florida for Spring Break Posted on March 25th, 2005 by

The Gustavus baseball team is heading to Clearwater, Florida from March 25 through 31 to take part in the Clearwater Classic spring break tournament. The Gusties will play 10 games in seven days in the Clearwater area.

Coach Mike Carroll’s squad, which enters the tournament with a record of 2-2, will start the week with a doubleheader against Ramapo College of Mahwah, New Jersey at 2:30 pm (Eastern Time) on Friday, March 25.

The Gusties will then face Edgewood College of Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday at 10:00 am (EST). The team will not play on Easter Sunday, but will resume action on Monday with a doubleheader against Williams College of Williamstown, Massachusetts at 12:30 pm.

Gustavus will wrap up the week with a doubleheader against Thomas College of Waterville, Maine on Tuesday, and the final doubleheader against the University of Southern Maine on Wednesday at 12:30 pm (EST).

The team will return to St. Peter on Thursday to get ready for its MIAC opener on Saturday, April 2 at Carleton at 1:00 pm.
