The Gustavus men’s swimming team traveled to Northfield, Minn. to compete in a dual meet against conference rival St. Olaf College on Friday night. The Oles defeated the Gusties 148-95 to hand the Gusties their first dual meet loss of the season.
Scott Hagemeyer led the Gusties with two first place finishes on Friday night at the Skoglund Center pool. Hagemeyer won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle with times of 21.64 and 47.46, respectively. Gustavus claimed the 400 freestyle relay title. The team of Brian Amundson, Scott Hagemeyer, Ben Hanson and Will Sutor finished with a time of 3:13.56, which was four seconds ahead of second place.
