Gustavus Adolphus College junior forward Loren Havemeier (Sleepy Eye, Minn.) has been named the MIAC Men’s Hockey Player of the Week for November 22-28. Havemeier scored three goals and recorded an assist at the Babson Thanksgiving Tournament.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team defeated host Babson 6-4 to claim the championship at the Babson Invitational Tournament. The Gusties were led by Loren Havemeier who tallied a hat trick in the contest. Havemeier was named MVP of the tournament.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team defeated Skidmore 8-1 in the first round of the Babson Invitational in Boston, Massachusetts. Jon Keseley led the Gusties with two goals. Gustavus will face host Babson in the tournament championship on Sunday at 4 pm.

The Gustavus women’s basketball team defeated Wartburg College 72-71 Tuesday night in the team’s season opener. Senior wing Lacy Skoog led the Gusties with 16 points, including five points in the last 28 seconds to seal the win for Gustavus.
