Andrea Peterson Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Player of the Week

Gustavus sophomore Andrea Peterson (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Hockey Player of the Week for November 15-21. Peterson scored three goals and recorded three assists this past weekend.

Women’s Swimming Places 10th at Minnesota Invite

The Gustavus women's swimming team recorded 22 points and placed 10th at the University of Minnesota Invite. The meet took place November 19-21 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn.

Men’s Soccer Team Falls to UC-Santa Cruz 1-0 in NCAA Sectional Finals

The Gustavus men's soccer team lost to the Univ. of California-Santa Cruz 1-0 in the NCAA Sectional Final played in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday night. The Gusties completed the most successful season in the program's history with a record of 18-2-3.

Men’s Basketball Opens with 88-65 Win Over Luther

The Gustavus men's basketball team opened its 2004-05 season with a convincing 88-65 win over Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Doug Espenson scored 30 points to lead the Gusties.

Women’s Hockey Defeats Hamline 8-0

The Gustavus women's hockey team completed its weekend sweep of Hamline with an 8-0 win at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter. Laura Vanelli led the Gustie scoring attack with two goals.

Men’s Soccer Upsets #1 Trinity 1-0 to Advance to Sectional Finals

The Gustavus men's soccer team upset defending national champion Trinity University 1-0 in San Antonio, Texas on Friday night. Taylor Stein scored the gamewinner in the 58th minute with an assist from Chris Pinahs.

Women’s Swimming Defeats St. Thomas 111-72

The Gustavus women's swimming team defeated the University of St. Thomas 111-72 in a conference dual meet on Friday evening. The meet was held in the Lund Natatorium on the Gustavus campus.
