Gustavus Adolphus College junior forward Loren Havemeier (Sleepy Eye, Minn.) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Hockey Player of the Week for November 22-28. Havemeier scored three goals and assisted another to lead the Golden Gusties to a 6-4 victory over the Babson College Beavers in the championship game of the 2004 Babson Invitational Ice Hockey Tournament presented by Irving Oil on November 28 in Babson Park, Mass. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the four-team tournament for his outstanding performance in the championship game. Since joining the team in mid-November after the football season, Havemeier has scored four goals and contributed three assists for seven points in four games. Gustavus is now 3-5-0 on the season.
