The Gustavus women’s cross country team traveled to St. Paul, Minn. to compete in the MIAC Cross Country Championships at Como Park on Saturday afternoon. Gustavus recorded 100 points to place second behind first place Carleton College.
Senior Nichole Petersen led the way for the Gusties placing sixth overall with a time of 19:37. By placing in the top 15, Petersen earned all-conference honors for the fourth consecutive year. She is the only women’s cross country runner ever to achieve this. First-year Lydia Davitt placed tenth overall and second on the team with a time of 19:48. Davitt also earned all-conference honors. Tasha Pike placed third on the team and 20th overall with a time of 20:18, which earns her honorable mention all-conference honors.
