The Gustavus men’s and women’s cross country teams are set to compete in the 2004 MIAC Championships. The conference race will take place on Saturday at Como Park in St. Paul, Minn. The men will race at 2pm with the women to follow at 3pm.

The Gustavus women’s soccer team knocked St. Thomas out of the MIAC Playoff picture with a 1-0 win in St. Paul. Junior forward Samantha Engh scored the winning goal in the 83rd minute. Tori Boughton recorded the shutout in the nets for the Gusties.

Volleyball Defeats St. Mary’s in Last Regular Season Match

The Gustavus volleyball team defeated St. Mary’s University in four games on Wednesday (21-30, 33-31, 30-28, 30-17). With the win, the Gusties improve to 19-6 overall and 8-3 in the MIAC and enter the MIAC playoffs for the first time since 2000.

The Gustavus men’s soccer defeated St. Thomas 1-0 on Tuesday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. to claim at least a share of the regular season conference title. J.T. Johnson scored the gamewinner for Gustavus in the 79th minute of the match.
