Gustavus Adolphus College senior setter Rachel Batalden (Lamberton, Minn.) was named MiAC volleyball player of the week. Batalden helped the Gusties to a 5-0 record during the week including a perfect 4-0 mark at the Gustavus Classic last weekend. Batalden had a big weekend at the Gustavus Classic as she played 19 games , recorded 19 kills, 10 blocks, 57 digs, five service aces and 171 assists. She was named to the all-tournament team. This is the second time in Batalden’s career that she has been named MIAC Player of the Week.
