The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s cross country team traveled to Winona, Minnesota on Saturday, September 4th to compete in the St. Mary’s University Invitational. The Gusties recorded 37 team points to place second behind Luther College.
Nichole Petersen, a three-time all-conference and all-region selection, led the Gusties with a time of 20:15 to place third overall. A pack of Gustie runners would place seventh through twelfth to secure a second place team finish. Nicole Olson placed seventh (21:23), Ali Cordie placed eighth (21:26), Mollie Lager placed ninth (21:29), Val Berquam placed tenth (21:31), Stacy Becker placed eleventh (21:31) and Krista Cruse placed twelfth (21:31).
The Gusties will be back in action on Saturday, September 11th when they host the alumni.
