The Gustavus women’s track & field team traveled to Northfield, Minn. to compete in the Manitou Classic hosted by St. Olaf College. No team scores were kept at the meet.
Senior Jackie Luehmann won her fourth straight shot put competition. Luehmann threw a distance of 45′ 4.5″ on Saturday. Senior Kristin Petersen placed second in the discus with a distance of 140′ 11″.
In the 100-meter dash, sophomore Blythe Bittman placed fourth with a time of 13.23. Sophomore Ashley Cronen recorded a time of 58.89 in the 400-meter dash to place fourth overall.
The Gusties will host the Drake Alternative next Saturday in St. Peter, Minn.
