The Gustavus men's tennis team defeated Washington and Lee University 7-0 in the first round of the ITA Division III Team Indoor Championship being held at the Swanson Tennis Center on the Gustavus campus.
The Gustavus Adolphus women's hockey team defeated the College of St. Benedict 5-0 on Friday night in St. Cloud, Minn. First-year players Andrea Peterson and Ingrid Neve each contributed two goals for the Gusties.
The Gustavus Adolphus women's gymnastics team defeated Hamline University 179.80 - 176.50 at Sponberg Gymnastics Studio in St. Peter, Minn. Friday night. Gustavus finished first in all of the events and improves to 4-1 in dual meet action.
The Gustavus men?s hockey team ended the regular season with a 4-2 loss to St. Thomas at Don Roberts Rink. With the loss, the Gusties fall to 12-10-3 overall and 9-5-2 in the MIAC, while St. Thomas improves to 15-7-3 overall and 13-2-1 in the MIAC.
The Gustavus men's hockey team saw its hopes of a second place league finish dashed with a 3-1 loss to St. Thomas in St. Paul. The Gusties, who can finish no higher than third place, will host the Tommies on Friday night at 7:05 pm.
The Gustavus men's basketball team shot 61.7 percent from the field on its way to defeating Bethel College 76-59 in a MIAC Playoff semifinal game. The Gusties will now host Macalester on Saturday night at 7:30 pm.
The Gustavus Adolphus women's basketball team saw its season come to an end with a 52-55 loss to Carleton College in the MIAC semifinal game in Northfield, Minn. Wednesday night. Senior Angie Peterson led the Gusties in scoring with 14 points.
The Gustavus men's basketball team will host Bethel College in a MIAC Playoff semifinal game on Thursday, February 26 at 7:30 pm.
The Gustavus women's basketball team will face Carleton in Northfield in a MIAC Playoff semifinal game on Wednesday, February 25 at 7:30 pm.
Gustavus Adolphus will be hosting seven of the nation''s top Division III men's tennis teams Feb. 27-29 at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III National Men's Team Indoor Championships in the Swanson Indoor Tennis Center.
