Women’s Tennis Defeats University of Montana 4-3 Posted on February 28th, 2004 by

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s tennis team defeated the University of St. Thomas 4-3 Saturday afternoon at Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minn. The Gusties improve their record to 3-4 this season.

Gustavus earned the important doubles point by defeating Montana in all three matches. Tara Houlihan, Lauren Hom, and Jaime Gard earned the singles points for Gustavus to make the final score 4-3 in favor of the Gusties.

2.Hom-Smiley, GAC defeated Torgerson-Schwartz, UM 8-4
3. Menne-Gaard, GAC defeated Cooney-Rosen, UM 8-4

2. Lauren Hom, GAC defeated Lindsey Torgerson, UM 7-5, 6-0

4. Jonna Schwartz, UM defeated Lyndsey Palen, GAC 7-5, 6-1
5. Macena Rosean, UM defeated Kara Smiley, GAC 3-6, 7-5, 7-5
