Men’s Cross Country Team Places 8th at MIAC Championships Posted on November 1st, 2003 by

The Gustavus men’s cross country team placed eighth Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship on Saturday in Como Park in St. Paul. The Gusties finished with 239 points. St. Thomas won the team title with 42 points. Carleton’s Matt Hooley won the 8K race with a time of 25:32.
Alex Zupan, who finished 27th with a time of 26:51, was the squad’s top runner. It marks the first time that the Gustavus men’s squad has finished higher than ninth at the conference meet since 1999.

The men’s squad will continue its seasons at the NCAA Midwest Regional hosted by Grinnell College on November 15 in Grinnell, Iowa.
