Gustavus Adolphus junior Nichole Petersen was named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week for her performance at the dual versus St. Olaf on October 24.
Petersen placed first out of 83 runners who finished the 4K race with a time of 14:53. This is the second time this season that Petersen has earned conference athlete of the week honors. She was also the MIAC’s athlete of the week the first week of September.
Gustavus returns to action on Saturday, November 1 at the MIAC Championships. The race will be held at Como Park in St. Paul beginning at 2:00 pm. Petersen has earned all-conference honors each of her first two seasons in a Gustie uniform.
