The Gustavus men’s cross country team lost to Macalester 21-32 in a dual meet in St. Peter on Friday afternoon. The Gusties’ Alex Zupan won the 4K race with a time of 12:53.
Macalester claimed the team title by having four of the top five attached runners. Bo Rydze (12:56), Eric Olson (13:08), Roscoe Sopiwnik (13:12), and Jordan Selbo (13:15) led the Scots to the victory.
Both squads will continue the season by participating in the MIAC Championships on November 3 at Como Park in St. Paul.
