The Gustavus men’s cross country team placed 25th out of 43 schools at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Saturday. The Roy Griak is the largest cross country meet in the nation.
The Gusties finished with 776 points and were led by Dan Westlund who placed 122nd out of a field of 400 runners with a time of 27:48. Minnesota State, Mankato won the event, which included Division II and III schools, with a 119 points. Black Hills State’s Dennis Newell won the 8K race with a time of 24:55.
