Women’s Cross Country Squad Wins Les Duke Invitational

The Gustavus women’s cross country team won the nine-team Les Duke Invitational in Grinnell, Iowa on Saturday, September 20.

The Gustavus women’s cross country squad won the nine-team Les Duke Invitational in Grinnell, Iowa on Saturday, September 20.

Gustavus (42) edged Macalester (51) and Wartburg (58) for the victory. Teammates Nichole Petersen and Nicole Olson led the Gustie assault by finishing second and third individually. It was the team’s first race on a 6K course this season.

The Grinnell course is the site of the NCAA Regional which will be held on November 15. Gustavus returns to action on Saturday, September 27 at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.
