The Gustavus men’s cross country team placed fourth out of 11 teams at the 8K Les Duke Invitational hosted by Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa on Saturday, September 20.
The host-school Grinnell won the competition with 40 points. Wartburg (44) and Macalester (60) followed in second and third place while Gustavus came in fourth with 135 points.
The Gusties top finishers were Dan Westlund who placed 26th and Alex Zupan who placed 27th.
The Grinnell course is the site of the NCAA Regional which will be held on November 15. Gustavus returns to action on Saturday, September 27 at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.
