Men’s Cross Country Team Wins St. Mary’s Invite

The Gustavus men’s cross country team placed first at the St. Mary’s Invite on Saturday, August 30 in Winona.

The Gustavus men’s cross country team opened the 2003 season with a first place finish at the St. Mary’s Invitational on Saturday, August 30 in Winona.
James Sorenson was the top individual finisher in the field of 49 with a time of 22:14. The Gusties had five out of the top seven finishers in the four mile race. St. Scholastica placed second with 56 points and St. Mary’s finished third with 66 points.

Gustavus has now won the St. Mary’s Invitational two years in a row. The Gusties return to action on Saturday, September 6 at the St. John’s Invitational.
