Peterson Named Honorable Mention All-America

Angie Peterson, a junior two-time all-conference guard on the Gustavus Adolphus College squad, was named honorable mention NCAA Division III Kodak/WBCA All-America.

The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and Kodak have announced this season’s All-America Teams. Angie Peterson, a junior two-time all-conference guard on the Gustavus Adolphus College squad, was named honorable mention NCAA Division III Kodak/WBCA All-America.

WBCA member coaches of the Kodak/WBCA All-America selection committee select five players from each of the eight WBCA geographical regions. Peterson, who was one of 40 individuals recognized nationally, was one of the five players honored from Region Eight.

Peterson was the leading scorer for Gustavus this year, averaging 15.8 points per game. She broke the school records for points (458) and three-point field goals (62) in a season. Peterson guided the Gusties to their best record (25-4) in the history of the program and a share of their first-ever conference title.
