MacLeod-Roth and Carl Named to All-Region Team

Adam MacLeod-Roth and Eric Carl were named to the 2002 Adidas/National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division III All-West Region Men’s Soccer Team. MacLeod-Roth was named to the first team while Carl was named to the second team.

(St. Peter, Minn., January 14, 2003) – Adam MacLeod-Roth and Eric Carl were named to the 2002 Adidas/National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) NCAA Division III All-West Region Men’s Soccer Team. MacLeod-Roth was named to the first team while Carl was named to the second team.

MacLeod-Roth, an all-conference selection as a defender for the Gusties, started all 17 games and scored six goals this past season. He was named to the NSCAA All-America Team this year and was named to the all-conference team three times during his career at Gustavus. MacLeod-Roth is the son of Bill Roth and Pam MacLeod of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Carl, an all-conference selection as a forward for Gustavus, ranked third in the MIAC in goals and points scored, and was the team’s leading scorer with 10 goals, four assists, and 24 points. He concluded his Gustavus career as the seventh leading goal scorer in school history with 26. Carl is the son of Rich and Kathy Carl of Apple Valley, Minnesota.
