Gundersen Sets School Record in 500 Free as Women’s Swimming Finishes Second at Carthage Invitational
The Gustavus women's swimming team scored 800 points and finished second to St. Cloud State with 1,130 points at the Carthage Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Gusties were led by Carrie Gundersen, who finished first in both the 200 and 500 freestyle, and placed third in the 1,650 free.

Carrie Gundersen Named MIAC Swimmer of the Week
Gustavus women's swimmer Carrie Gundersen has been named MIAC Swimmer of the Week for her efforts in dual meets against St. Olaf and St. Thomas last weekend. Gundersen broke the school record in the 1,000-yard freestyle by over 20 seconds on Friday against St. Olaf.
Men’s Swimming Tops MSU, Mankato 169-113, But Women Fall to Mavericks 132-168
The Gustavus men's swimming team opened its 2006 dual meet schedule with a 169-113 win over Minnesota State University, Mankato, while the Gustavus women's swimming team dropped its dual opener to MSU, Mankato 132-168. The meet was held at the Lund Natatorium on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus.

The Gustavus men's swimming team is in first place and the women's team is in second place after the first day of the MIAC Swimming Championships which are being held at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis.
Women’s Swimming and Diving Downs Concordia, 131-100
The Gustavus Adolphus women's swimming and diving team evened its dual record at 2-2 with a 131-100 win over Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday at Lund Natatorium in St. Peter. Junior Beth Hartman (Eagan, Minn.) figured in three event wins, winning the 200 and 500 freestyles, while also swimming a leg on the 200 medley relay team. The Gusties will be back in action December 2-3 when they participate in the Carthage Invitational and the St. Cloud Diving Invitational.
Women’s Swimming and Diving Downs Saint Mary’s, 146-71; Finishes Second at St. Kate’s
The Gustavus women's swimming and diving team wrapped up a successful weekend Saturday with a 146-71 dual win at Saint Mary's and a second place finish in a quadrangular at St. Kate's. Gustavus returns to the pool at the University of Minnesota Invite November 18-19. The Gusties will also host Concordia-Moorhead in a dual November 19.
200 Free Relay Just Misses National Title
The Gustavus women's 200 free relay team just missed capturing the program's first ever national title this evening at the NCAA Division III Championships. The team of Beth DeLaRosby, Katie Garvey, Laurie Decknatel, and Laura Watkins finished second.
Women’s Swimming Sending Six to NCAA Championships
The Gustavus Adolphus College women's swimming and diving team will have six student-athletes competing at the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The championships will take place March 10-12 at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
