The Gustavus cross country teams are back in action Saturday as they compete in the 39th annual Jim Drews Invitational and the 26th annual Tori Neubauer Invitational. The men’s race starts at 11 a.m. and the women follow at 11:50. Both races are at the Ettrick Golf Club.

Gustavus women’s tennis singles ace Ginger Valentine dropped her first two matches Thursday at the ITA Cup. Valentine opened the day with a 6-4, 6-1 loss to No. 2 seed Serim Jin of Wesleyan (Conn.) and then lost 6-4, 6-4 to Miriam Gandham of Vassar in the consolation bracket.
