Women’s Cross Country Finishes 12th Out Of 32 At Griak Invitational
The Gustavus women's cross country team continued its strong fall performances with a 12th place finish out of the 32 teams at the very competitive Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota.
Women’s Cross Country Finishes Third At St. Olaf Invitational
The Gustavus women's cross country team continued to run at the front of the pack and posted a third place finish in a strong field of 14 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational in Northfield on Saturday. The Gusties, who scored 85 points, finished behind first place Minnesota-Duluth with 27 points, and second place St. Olaf with 48.
Women’s Cross Country Posts Strong Third Place Finish at All-American Invite
The Gustavus women's cross country ran well at the 10-team All-American Invitational hosted by Luther College in Decorah, Iowa on Saturday. The Gusties recorded a score of 82 to finish behind first place Luther with 36 and second place UW-La Crosse with 50. Kate Eggers led the Gustavus contingent as she placed second individually with a time of 19:21.
Cross Country Teams Take Part In All-American Invitational In Decorah, Iowa On Saturday
The Gustavus men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Decorah, Iowa on Saturday to take part in the All-American Invitational hosted by Luther College. The meet will include many of the top small college cross country squads in the Upper Midwest. The Gusties will be looking to continue the strong running they displayed in winning both the men's and women's races at the Bethany Lutheran Invitational on Sept. 1.
Cross Country Teams Host Alumni Meet
The Gustavus men's and women's cross country teams hosted their annual Alumni Meet in the Linnaeus Arboretum on Saturday, August 31. Thirty-two runners took part in the women's race including 27 members of the 2010 women's team and five alums, while 39 runners took part in the men's race including 19 members of the 2010 men's team and 20 alums.
Women’s Cross Country Season Preview
The Gustavus women’s cross country team opens its 2010 campaign ranked sixth in the Central Region poll by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) after finishing the 2009 season ranked ninth. Head Coach Dale Bahr’s squad garnered a high ranking by returning all but two of its top performers from last year’s group that finished sixth at the MIAC Championships and ninth out of 26 teams at the NCAA Central Region meet.

The Gustavus women's cross country has been recognized by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as one of the top teams in the Central Region to start the 2010 season. The Gusties are ranked sixth in the first regional poll of 2010.
Women’s Cross Country Team Takes Part in MSU, Mankato Invitational
The Gustavus women's cross country team took part in the Caty Delwische Invitational hosted by the Minnesota State University, Mankato at Land Of Memories Park in Mankato on Saturday morning. The meet was not scored. The course was 4,000 meters and the top Gustavus finishers included Danielle Burgmeier, who placed second (15:47) and Vanessa Jones, who placed third (15:48).
Women’s Cross Country Places 19th At Roy Griak Invitational
The Gustavus women's cross country team finished 19th out of 37 teams at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by the University of Minnesota on Saturday. The Gusties were led by senior Vanessa Jones, who placed 82nd with a time of 25:23.7.
Women’s Cross Country Finishes Ninth At St. Olaf Invitational
Running without three of its top seven runners due to injuries and the flu, the Gustavus women's cross country team showed excellent depth and registered a ninth place finish out of 16 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational on Saturday. Elizabeth Hauer was the top Gustie finisher as she placed 36th in a time of 24:28. University of Minnesota-Duluth claimed the team title with a total of 45 points.
