Senior post Bri Monahan (Hutchinson, Minn.) sparked the Gusties with a season high 29 points, while junior guard Jess Vadnais (Jr., Hudson, Wis.) contributed 20 points.

Gustavus women’s basketball player Jess Vadnais has been named to the d3hoops.com National Team of the Week for her performances at the Colorado College Invitational last weekend where she helped the Gusties win the tournament title. Vadnais was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

Jess Vadnais, who scored 26 against Colorado College on Saturday, and 22 in the first game against Marian on Friday, was named the Tournament’s Most Valuable Player.

Naomi Stohlmann Named Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach

Naomi Stohlmann has been named the new assistant women’s basketball coach at Gustavus Adolphus College. Stohlmann, who most recently served as the Associate Head Coach for the Dobson High School girls’ basketball team in Mesa, Arizona, will replace Aaron Kahl, who has accepted the assistant men’s basketball coaching position at Gustavus.
