Weston Lombard (Sr., Stillwater) improved his record to 7-0 with a complete game effort on the mound, moving the Gusties (25-4) one win away from securing the No. 2 seed and a first round bye in the MIAC playoffs.

The Gustavus baseball team Friday started its three-game series with No. 22 Saint John’s with an 8-3 victory at the Gustie Baseball Field. The Gusties blasted four home runs in the game while the pitching staff tossed eight scoreless innings and limited the Johnnies to seven hits.
