Gusties Lose 2-1 In Final Minutes Against UW-La Crosse

The Gustavus women's soccer team fell to UW-La Crosse 2-1 in a heartbreaking finish to end a three game home stand. Chelsea Craven tied the game at one late in the second half, but the Eagles were able to score the winning goal with under two minutes remaining in regulation. The Gusties outshot the Eagles by a 15-8 margin, but UW-La Crosse goalkeeper Amanda Clark kept them to only the one goal. Gustavus falls to 1-3-2 on the season after the non-conference loss.

Gymnastics Team Places Third At UW-La Crosse Triangular With A Score of 174.825

The Gustavus gymnastics team wrapped up its regular season schedule by posting a score of 174.825 at the UW-La Crosse Triangular. The host Eagles finished first with a score of 183.975, UW-Eau Claire placed second at 176.325, and Gustavus finished third at 174.825. Junior Laura Hansen turned in the top performance for the Gusties as she tied for second on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.250.

Women’s Soccer Loses 2-0 at UW-La Crosse

The Gustavus women's soccer team allowed two first half goals and suffered its third consecutive shutout losing to UW-La Crosse 2-0 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The Gusties are now 7-8-0 overall on the season.

Women’s Cross Country Finishes 11th at Tori Neubauer Invite, Edlund Finishes 16th.

On a beautiful day in La Crosse, Wisc., the Gustavus women's cross country team finished 11th with 295 points at the Tori Neubauer Invitational late Saturday morning. The University of Minnesota finished in first place with 120 points having all top five runners in the top 40. Laura Edlund (Forest Lake, Minn.) crossed the finish line first for the Golden Gusties in 16th-place with a time of 22:52. Edlund has been the fastest Gustavus finisher in every race this season.

Men’s Cross Country Turns In 17th-Place Finish at Jim Drews Invitational

The Gustavus men's cross country team turned in a 17th-place finish with 459 points at the 25-team Jim Drews Invitational Saturday morning in La Crosse, Wis. UW-La Crosse won the team competition with 75 points and all five runners finishing in the top 20. Senior Chris deLaubenfels (Mount Vernon, Iowa) beat his best time of the season by 30 seconds with a time of 26:38 and a 45th place-finish.

Gymnastics Falls to UW-La Crosse 174.150-169.775

The Gustavus Adolphus gymnastics team fell to 1-1 in duals this season following a 174.150-169.775 loss to defending NCGA champion UW-La Crosse Friday night at the Sponberg Gymnastics Studio in St. Peter. Brittany Moore (Sr., Plymouth, Minn.) registered the Gusties' top score of the night with a 9.175 on the vault.

Men’s Cross Country 19th at UW-La Crosse

Junior Alex Zupan (Monona, Wis.) finished 77th overall to lead the Gustavus men's cross country team to a 19th place finish at the Jim Drews Invitational hosted by UW-La Crosse. Zupan crossed the line in 26:01 in a 23-team field that spanned all divisions of the NCAA.
