The Gustavus gymnastics team won a WIAC dual Tuesday at Winona State by a score of 180.275-178.725. The Gusties also took first place in all four events as well as the all-around.

The Gustavus gymnastics team hosted the 2018 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference/National Collegiate Gymnastics Association West Regional at Gus Young Court on Sunday, taking fifth of eight teams with a season-high score of 185.725, the third best team score in program history. 

Ardy, Kopp Earn First Team All-America At NCGA Championship

Gustavus gymnastics had a spectacular showing at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Individual Championship Saturday as two Gusties earned First Team All-America status. Alex Kopp (Sr., Wayzata, Minn.) capped her impressive career with a second place finish on vault, scoring a career-high 9.700, while Sam Ardy (So., Thousand Oaks, Calif.) took fifth on the uneven parallel bars, tying a career-high 9.625.

Ardy, Kershner, Kopp To Represent Gustavus Gymnastics At NCGA Championship

Three Gustavus gymnasts will represent the College this weekend at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Sam Ardy (So., Thousand Oaks, Calif.), Lauren Kershner (Sr., Marine, Ill.), and Alex Kopp (Sr., Wayzata, Minn.) qualified for the national meet, marking the first time in Head Coach Aryn DeGrood’s tenure that three Gusties advanced to the NCGA Championship.

Gymnastics Takes Seventh At WIAC/NCGA West Regional

The Gustavus gymnastics team competed in its final meet of the season Friday at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference/National Collegiate Gymnastics Association West Regional, hosted by Winona State University. The Gusties took seventh of eight teams, scoring 185.625, which is also the third best team score in program history. Gustavus scored 47.625 on floor, 47.050 on vault, 46.475 on bars, and 44.475 on beam.

Gymnastics Falls 188.900-184.725 In Final Home Meet Against UW-La Crosse

The Gustavus gymnastics team hosted the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Friday in its final home meet of the season, falling by a score of 188.900-184.725. The Gusties’ total score is the fourth best in program history as they now prepare for the regional qualifier next weekend.

Ardy Named WIAC Gymnastics Specialist Of The Week

Gustavus gymnastics specialist Sam Ardy (So., Thousand Oaks, Calif.) had a career performance on at the Blugold Invitational on March 3. She led the Golden Gusties on both vault and uneven bars and was the second-highest score on the balance beam. Ardy tied for first on bars with a score of 9.475. She had a career high on vault after throwing a new skill and placing second with a season-high 9.55. On the balance beam, Ardy placed sixth with a 9.425. She helped lead the Gusties to the second-highest team score of the season and third-highest team score in program history.

Gymnastics Takes Third At Blugold Invite, Scores 184.750

The Gustavus gymnastics team took third at the Blugold Invite Friday, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The Gusties posted a team score of 184.750, which is third best in school history, while host UW-Eau Claire won the meet at 186.300 – UW-Stout took second at 185.175.

Gymnastics Takes Fourth At Best Of Minnesota, Scores 184.550

The Gustavus gymnastics team competed in the Best of Minnesota meet Sunday, hosted by the University of Minnesota, and took fourth place with a total of 184.550. The annual meet features all four collegiate gymnastics teams in the state of Minnesota.
