Volleyball Wraps Up Season With 3-2 Win Over Saint Mary’s
The Gustavus volleyball team closed out their season with a 3-2 victory over Saint Mary's on Wednesday night in St. Peter. The Gusties finish the season 14-11 overall, 5-6 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Junior Becca Thompson picked up a Gustavus season-high 23 kills in the win, while sophomore Andrea Kron eclipsed the 600-kill mark for her career with her 17 kills.
Men’s Soccer Downs Saint Mary’s 3-1
The Gustavus men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to six games Tuesday evening with a 3-1 win over Saint Mary's University in Winona. Senior midfielder Bobby Kroog (Bloomington, Minn.) led the Gusties with a goal and an assist, while senior Chris Pinahs (Delafield, Wis.) and junior Alex Groth (Waupaca, Wis.) also found the back of the net for Gustavus. The Gusties improve to 5-1-2 overall and 3-0-1 in the MIAC with the win. Saint Mary's falls to 1-6-1 overall, 1-3-0 in the MIAC.
