Men’s Hockey Falls To Saint John’s 5-3 In Quarterfinal Round of MIAC Tournament
The Gustavus men's hockey team saw its season come to an end with a 5-3 loss to Saint John's at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter on Thursday night. The Gusties trailed 3-2 after the first period and 4-3 after the second period before losing 5-3. David Martinson led Gustavus with two goals, while five different players scored for Saint John's. Gustavus ends its season with a record of 13-12-1.

The Gustavus men's hockey team scored five times in the second period on its way to an impressive 7-3 win over Saint John's at Don Roberts Ice Rink in St. Peter on Friday night. Sophomore Cody Mosbeck scored twice to lead Gustavus, while sophomore Jamie Leathers contributed one goal and two assists. Goaltender Josh Swartout picked up the win in the nets.
Men’s Basketball Team Rallies From 14 Points Down To Beat Saint John’s 70-68
The Gustavus men's basketball team dug themselves a big hole in the first half, but came all the way and back and claimed a thrilling 70-68 victory in St. Peter on Monday night. Trevor Wittwer made a six-foot jumper with :20 left in regulation play to give the Gusties their first lead since the opening moments of the game. The Johnnies Ryan Lieser led all scorers with 27 points, while Wittwer led the Gusties with 17. Gustavus improves to 15-4 overall and 11-3 in MIAC play.

The Gustavus men's hockey team scored a power play goal :51 seconds into the contest to take a 1-0 lead, but then got dominated the rest of the game as the Johnnies outshot the Gusties 44-18 on their way to a convincing 5-1 win in St. Cloud, Minn. Mitch Carlson scored the lone goal for Gustavus.
Men’s Basketball Rides Hot Shooting to 77-70 Win At Saint John’s
The Gustavus men's basketball team shot 68.0 percent from the field in the first half (15-22) and 58.3 percent for the game (28-48) on its way to an important 77-70 MIAC road win at Saint John's on Wednesday night. Balanced scoring was once again a key for Gustavus as four players reached double figures including Trevor Wittwer with 17, Jesse Van Sickle and Sam Paulson with 15, and Kane Sivesind with 13. Van Sickle was 5-of-7 from three-point range.
Football Team Suffers Disappointing 40-0 Homecoming Loss to Saint John’s
The Gustavus football team got off to a slow start for the third consecutive game and #3 Saint John's took advantage by jumping out to a 13-0 lead on their way to a decisive 40-0 win in front of a standing room only Homecoming crowd of 5,200 at Hollingsworth Field. The Gustie offense never got on track in the game compiling a meager 133 yards of total offense against the Johnnie defensive unit. Gustavus has now lost three straight games and falls to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the MIAC.
Football Team Set to Host Saint John’s for Homecoming
The Gustavus football team will host Saint John's University in a key MIAC matchup on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Hollingsworth Field on the Gustavus campus. It is Homecoming Day for the Gusties. Gustavus enters with a record of 3-2-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the MIAC, while the third ranked Johnnies enter with a mark of 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the MIAC. Baseball Splits With Saint John’s 9-2, 3-5
The Gustavus Adolphus College baseball team picked up a doubleheader split with Saint John's University Sunday afternoon in Collegeville. Eric Bigham went 3-for-4 with a grand slam home run to lead the Gusties to a 9-2 victory in game one, but Gustavus could not complete the sweep, making four errors in a 5-3 loss in game two. The Gusties (11-7, 5-3 MIAC) host Concordia-Moorhead Wednesday afternoon.
