The Gustavus volleyball team made new head coach Rachelle Dosch's first game as a collegiate head coach a successful one as the Gusties defeated Augustana College by the score of 3-1 at the Elmhurst Invitational in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Volleyball Season Preview
The Gustavus volleyball program begins a new era as Rachelle Dosch takes over as head coach for Kari Eckheart who resigned to accept a position as assistant athletics director at the College. Dosch will work with an experienced group of players including five starters and 13 letterwinners from a squad that posted a record of 11-17 overall and finished in a tie for ninth place in the MIAC with mark of 3-8.
Volleyball Begins Preparations For 2010 Season
The Gustavus volleyball team arrived to campus on Saturday, August 21 to kick off preseason workouts for the 2010 season. The Gusties are under new leadership as Rachelle Dosch begins her first season as head coach. Dosch welcomed 15 players to preseason training. The Gusties first match is in Elmhurst, Illinois on Friday, September 3 as they will participate in the Elmhurst Invitational.
Rachelle Dosch Named Head Volleyball Coach
Rachelle Dosch has been named the new head volleyball coach at Gustavus Adolphus College. Dosch, a 2007 graduate of the University of St. Thomas, replaces Kari Eckheart who resigned to accept the position of Assistant Director of Athletics for Student Athlete Services at the College.
