Men’s Tennis Shut Out by NAIA No. 4 Fresno Pacific 9-0
The Gustavus Adolphus College men's tennis team was shut out by NAIA No. 4 Fresno Pacific University 9-0 Tuesday in Claremont, California. The Gusties (17-7), rated fifth in NCAA Division III, continue their Spring Break trip Wednesday with a dual at the University of Redlands. Redlands is currently ranked 12th in Division III.
Men’s Tennis Opens 0-3 in Hawai’i
The Gustavus Adolphus men's tennis team opened their season with three losses in Hawai'i over the weekend. The Gusties fell to Hawai'i Pacific University 8-1 on Thursday, BYU-Hawai'i 6-3 on Friday and the University of Hawai'i 7-0 on Saturday. HPU and BYU-Hawai'i are NCAA Division II schools, while Hawai'i is a NCAA Division I school.
Volleyball Starts 1-3 at Boxer Kickoff Invitational
The Gustavus Adolphus volleyball team picked up their first victory of the season Saturday, September 3 with a four-game win over Willamette University (30-26, 19-30, 30-18, 30-22) at the Boxer Kickoff Invitational in Forest Grove, Oregon. Gustavus fell to host Pacific University (3-0) and Baldwin-Wallace College (Ohio) (3-1) to open the tournament on Friday and then dropped their final game of the tournament with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Linfield College on Saturday evening.
