Ashley Becker, Maddison Ackiss Named To NSCAA All-North Team
Gustavus Adolphus College women’s soccer All-Conference performers Ashley Becker (Fy., Farmington, Minn.) and Maddison Ackiss (Jr., Fairbanks, Alaska) have added to their postseason accolades as both have been named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-North Team, which was released Wednesday. Becker earned First Team honors as a keeper, while Ackiss earned Third Team honors as a forward. The two All-North Teamers are the first Gustavus women’s soccer players to earn postseason accolades from the NSCAA since Alecia Tromiczak was named All-American in 1997.
Women’s Soccer Faces Final MIAC Road Test At Concordia Wednesday
The Gustavus women’s soccer team continues its quest to secure a MIAC Playoff berth Wednesday as it travels to Concordia College for a matchup between two postseason contenders. The Gusties are in second place in the MIAC with 21 points (7-2), while the Cobbers sit in a tie for fifth place with 15 points (5-4).

Men’s Soccer Player Fraser Horton Named To NSCAA All-Region Team
Gustavus Adolphus College senior Fraser Horton (Missoula, Mont./Hellgate) was named National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III All-North Region Third Team on Tuesday. It is the third time that Horton has received All-Region honors in his four-year career at Gustavus. 13 players from the MIAC were honored, the most of any athletic conference in the region.

Zelenz Named NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Coach of the Year by the NSCAA
After guiding the Gustavus Adolphus men's soccer team to its most successful season in school history, head coach Larry Zelenz has been named the 2005 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Coach of the Year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Zelenz guided the Gusties to a 17-3-5 record, a share of the MIAC regular season title and a runner-up finish in the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championships last fall.
