NCAA Tournament Victory Calls For Reflection, Anticipation
Twelve hours after the Gustavus women’s hockey team pulled off an upset victory on the road in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Tournament, head coach Mike Carroll was back on campus at the Don Roberts Ice Rink, flooding the surface for another week of practice.
Mike Carroll Named MIAC Women’s Hockey Coach Of The Year, Three Earn All-Conference Honors
Gustavus women's hockey head coach Mike Carroll has been selected as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Hockey Coach of the Year, highlighting the announcement of the MIAC 2016-17 awards. In addition, Amanda DiNella (So., Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.), Kaitlyn Klein (Jr., Plymouth, Minn.), and Erica Power (Jr., Lakeville, Minn.) earned spots on the All-Conference Team. Three Gusties also claimed All-Conference Honorable Mention honors.

Women’s Hockey Player Kaitlyn Klein On Road To Recovery After Suffering Broken Neck
Gustavus Adolphus College sophomore women’s hockey player Kaitlyn Klein (Plymouth, Minn.) is on the road to recovery after suffering a broken neck during last Sunday’s game against Plattsburgh State University in Middlebury, Vermont. Klein is back home after having successful surgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center to repair her C7 vertebrae.
