The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team compiled 819.5 points to place second at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational that took place Friday, January 21 and Saturday, January 22.
The Gustavus men's swimming and diving team defeated Carleton on Saturday afternoon in St. Peter, Minn. Scott Hagemeyer and Greg Pokorski won two events each and Will Sutor set a new pool record in the 100 butterfly.

Gustavus Adolphus men's swimming and diving head coach Jon Carlson has been named the MIAC Men's Swim Coach of the Year by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference swim coaches. Carlson's squad claimed its third consecutive MIAC title.

Gustavus Adolphus College senior, Mike Maynard (Saint Paul, MN), was named the MIAC Swimmer of the Week for January 26-February 1. Maynard won both the 100 and 200 backstroke to help lead the Gusties past Saint John's on Saturday, January 31.
Gustavus Adolphus College fresman Scott Hagemeyer (Willmar, Minn.) posted two wins at the UW-Steven's Point Invitational last weekend and as a result has been selected as the MIAC Swimmer of the Week for January 19-25.
