The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s soccer team had four players selected to the 2004 NSCAA/adidas Division III All-West Region Team. Joe Hartwell and Bobby Kroog were named to the first team Jon Astry and Andrew Moulton were named to the third team.

Gustavus Adolphus College men’s soccer coach Larry Zelenz has been named the 2004 National Soccer Coaches Association of America/adidas Division III West Regional Coach of the Year.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced the 2004 NCAA Division III All-America team on December 9, 2004. The Gustavus Adolphus College senior defender Joe Hartwell and junior midfielder Bobby Kroog were named to the All-America team.

The Gustavus men’s soccer team upset defending national champion Trinity University 1-0 in San Antonio, Texas on Friday night. Taylor Stein scored the gamewinner in the 58th minute with an assist from Chris Pinahs.

The Gustavus men’s soccer team is set to play Trinity University in a sectional match of the NCAA Tournament on Friday, November 19 in San Antonio, Texas. The game will begin approximately 30 minutes following the completion of the first sectional match.

The Gustavus men’s soccer team advanced to the sectional semifinal of the NCAA tournament by defeating UW-Whitewater 5-4 in a penalty kick shootout. The game was tied at 1-1 after 110 minutes of play so the game went to a shootout.

The Gustavus men’s soccer team will host UW-Whitewater on Saturday, November 13 at 1:00pm in a second round match of the NCAA Tournament. Tickets will be $6 for adults, $3 for students with I.D. and $2 for children under 12.
