Five Gusties Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District V College Division At-Large Teams
Five Gustavus Adolphus College student athletes have been recognized as the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) released the 2009 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V College Division At-Large Teams. Kimbra Kosak (women's golf), Melissa Mackley (women's hockey), David Martinson (men's hockey) and Dave Pearson (men's swimming and diving) were named to the first team, while John Kauss (men's tennis) was honored on the second team.
Griggs, Schenfeld, Kosak, and Drenttel Honored By National Golf Coaches Association
The National Golf Coaches Association announced its 2008-09 awards at the NCAA Division III Championships and four Gustavus golfers were honored by the NGCA. Kali Griggs received First Team All-America honors, while Katie Schenfeld received Second Team All-America honors. In addition, Griggs, Schenfeld, Kimbra Kosak, and Taylor Drenttel were named to the Midwest All-Region team. The Gusties are currently in fourth place at the 2009 NCAA Championships being held in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Three Gustavus Women’s Golfers Invited To Participate In The Best Buy Charity Classic
Gustavus Adolphus women's golfers Rachel Roberg, Kali Griggs, and Kimbra Kosak have been invited to participate in the Best Buy Charity Classic on June 26-28 in Minneapolis. All three individuals earned invitations to participate by being named to the National Golf Coaches Association Division III All-America Teams this season.
Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth At NCAA Championships, Kosak Finishes Tied For Sixth Individually
The Gustavus women's golf team posted a solid final round score of 316 (+28) to finish sixth at the NCAA Championships out of 20 teams. The 72-hole tournament, was played at Centennial Oaks Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa. The Gusties made up 13 strokes to move up two places and finish one stroke ahead of St. Thomas. Junior Kimbra Kosak (Grand Rapids, Minn.) wrapped up a very strong tournament with a final round score of 75 (+3).

Women’s Golfer Kimbra Kosak to Participate in USA China Friendship Cup
Gustavus Adolphus women's golfer Kimbra Kosak (Grand Rapids, Minn. / Grand Rapids) has been selected to participate as a member of Team USA in the inaugural USA China Friendship Cup July 27-29 at Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, Calif. The American team will consist of eight men and four women -- all true freshmen during the 2005-06 academic year.
